New Phone!

A replacement for my beaten Samsung Galaxy S2 has arrived! A HTC One bought overseas from Malaysia.

Immediate gripes include the terrible packaging idea of fitting the phone flush into a featureless plastic case with no obvious finger grooves to remove the phone from the box. I tried to peel it out gently but ended up scratching the paint off (it doesn't seem to be very scratch resistant at all) a small part of the edge and that was really annoying. You have to have some super thin fingers or flip the box over to dislodge it. The black version is quite a fingerprint and smudge magnet, but it shouldn't be an issue with a case.

Not all bad news tho. The phone itself looks great and is almost the same thickness as the S2 *with* the case on. Can't wait to use it!

Whose idea was this?

You can see the little white scratch on the bottom edge from trying to get it out of the box.

*smudge*
